0 Badminton Future Prospect

 A new system was applied to the final tournament of the 2010 Badminton Team World Championships, Thomas and Uber Cups. It was where teams that met in group stage might have a rematch at the knockout play-offs.

The tournament, eventually showing the superiority of Chinese badminton in the first decade of this second millennium, despite losing the Uber Cup to Korea, did gave a bright prospect of badminton in the future. It was the WBF that made any efforts in order to make the game more dynamic and interesting. As badminton shifts its scoring system to relay point, it now becomes interesting.

Current development of the game shows a vast growing as it is played in every continent. The 2010 Thomas and Uber Cups Finals were represented by teams from more continental zones. Badminton has reached as far as Africa and the Carribeans. They looked very serious in making progress of this sport.

The above brief fact can be a good sign for the badminton's future provided that doubts used to surface couple years ago whether badminton was still eligible to play in the Olympic Games. Thank to all struggles and efforts made by the WBF Organization for making this sport survived.
